September

Origin: Latin

Meaning: September is the ninth month of the calendar year which means, rather ironically, "seven" from Latin septem + -ber (an adjective suffix).

September was originally the seventh month in the original Roman calendar which only consisted of ten months until Julius Caesar came into power and introduced the Julian calendar (obviously named after himself) with two extra months, bumping the original seventh month into number nine.

Nicknames: Ember seems to be a very obvious nickname for it.
