Zita
Origin: Italian, Hungarian, Greek
Meaning: it means "little girl" in Tuscan Italian. It's also the Hungarian feminine diminutive of Felicitás, the Hungarian form of Latin Felicitas meaning "good luck, fortune".
It could also be from Greek zetein meaning "to seek" or "seeker".
Zita is also the name of a Hittite prince though I couldn't find much info on the name.
Variants:
- Zyta (Polish)
- Zeta (also the last letter of the Greek alphabet)
