Meaning: a Greek feminine name meaning "glory of the father" from Greek elements kleos (glory) and pater (father).
As well as belonging to several princesses of Egypt, including the famous last queen of Egypt of Cleopatra and Antony fame, Cleopatra is also the name of several minor figures in Greek mythology, including a daughter of the Greek god of the north wind Boreas, who was also the sister of Chione, goddess of the snow.
