Meaning: the name of an angel in the Book of Enoch, I've seen two different meanings for this name. The first is that it is a Hebrew masculine name meaning "mercy of God", though I've also seen it listed as being the Hebrew form of Ramiel, the Arabic form of Remiel, meaning "thunder of God".
Remiel is depicted as being a Watcher as well as one of the seven archangels according to the Book of Enoch. He is the angel of hope, as well as being responsible for divine visions as well as guiding the souls of the faithful to heaven.
