Topaz
Origin: Greek, Sanskrit
Meaning: from Greek topazos derived from Sanskrit tapas meaning "heat" and "fire", though there's also a story that it was named for a remote island in the Red Sea where it was mined, from Greek topazein meaning "to divine, to locate".
Topaz is the name of a gem as well as usually referring to a yellow-brownish color. It's also the name of a genus of hummingbird.
