Meaning: the Latinized form of Greek Kleio meaning "famous" or "glory" from Greek verb kleô meaning "to make famous" or "celebrate".
In Greek mythology, Clio is one of the nine muses, the goddesses of music, dance and song. Clio is the goddess of history and heroic poetry. Her symbols are an open scroll or being seated beside a chest of books.
