Duana
Origin: English, Irish
Meaning: a feminine form of Duane, from anglicized Irish surname Ó Dubhan meaning "descendant of Dubhán", the latter from Irish dubh meaning "dark, black" with a diminutive suffix.
It's pronounced either doo-ahn-a or doo-wain-a though I prefer the former pronunciation.
Male forms:
- Duane
- Dwayne
