Origin: English
Meaning: either a short form of Tatiana, the feminine form of Roman name Tatianus, derived from Tatius, which is of unknown meaning, or it's a short form of Christiana, the feminine form of Christian meaning "a Christian"; or it could be short for any name ending in -tiana.
I've also seen it listed as being the Cherokee form of Diana meaning "heavenly, divine"; Diana was the Roman goddess of the moon, hunting, and childbirth and the Roman counterpart of Greek goddess Artemis.
