Tahan

Origin: Hebrew, Arabic

Meaning: a Hebrew masculine name possibly meaning "merciful" or "grace"; I've also seen it listed as possibly meaning "encampment" or "supplication".

Tahan is also an Arabic and Jewish (Sephardic) occupational surname meaning "miller".

It also seems to be a word in Tagalog meaning "stop".

In the Bible, Tahan is a descendant of Ephraim.
